‌   Pharmaceutical industry ‌ : propionyl chloride is used in the pharmaceutical industry in the production of antiepileptic drugs, cholinol, antiadrenergic drugs, etc. For example, the antiepileptic drugs belladonetoin, cholineol and methoxyamine hydrochloride, etc ‌.
   Pesticide production ‌ : Propionyl chloride is often used as a raw material of the herbicide paspalum in pesticide production ‌.
‌   Other applications ‌ : propionyl chloride is also used in the synthesis of medicine, dyes, pesticides and other important intermediates ‌.
