   Ammonium hydrogen fluoride (NH4HF2) is an inorganic compound, mainly used in metal surface treatment, electronics industry, glass etching and quartz sand purification. ‌
 
Metal surface treatment
Ammonium hydrogen fluoride is often used to remove oxides and dirt from metal surfaces to improve metal quality and surface finish. For example, in the field of construction, the production process of aluminum profiles often uses ammonium hydrogen fluoride for surface treatment. ‌
 
Electronics industry
In the electronics industry, ammonium hydrogen fluoride is used for anodizing aluminum alloys to increase corrosion resistance and hardness of aluminum alloys. This makes it an important application in the manufacture of electronic devices.
 
Glass etching
Ammonium hydrogen fluoride is also widely used in the process of glass etching. It can remove certain parts of the glass surface through chemical reactions to generate various patterns to meet decoration and use needs.
